Hanging with Great Grandma

Hi there this is my entry for the challenge over at Kraft Plus Challenges http://kraftpluschallenges.blogspot.com.au/

The challenge was to use Kraft card stock as the background and add ZENTANGLING to the creation. This being my first time doing any kind of Zentangling this is what I came up with.

Starting with my Kraft card stock as the base I mixed some Alcohol Ink – Stream (color) with gesso and painted a bit of a background round the photos. Then I added some blue acrylic paint to water in the spray bottle and lightly sprayed over the Kraft cardstock.

I added a strip of printed vellum – Simple pleasures are life’s greatest pleasures, I matted this onto part of the card from a Prima Flower packet. Now to add a little builders mesh randomly. I then fussy cut 4 flowers from a Kaisercraft - these were the perfect colour.

Now for the zentangle part – as you can see I so need to practice this, but I used a Sakura black pen and tried my best to zentangle. I added some blocks, some mesh and some leaves. I thought it best to not try adding anymore zentangle as I need to practice, so leaving it at that my layout is complete.

The photos are of my Mum with her Great Grand Daughters which are my Grand Daughters.

Thanks for stopping by, Sharon
